Civic Action Program (CAP)
Due to the centralized structures of governance in Liberia and the limited awareness of people on good governance, rule of law, social accountability and other tenets of democracy, the Civil Action Program is designed to provide training and capacity building for local authorities, youths, and women in governance, rule of law, advocacy and social audit in promoting good governance and accountability and transparency. Presently, CODRA is mentoring 30 youth organizations in the twelve political districts in Bong County in monitoring of various sectorial projects under the County and Social Development Funds with support from the World Bank Civil Society Fund 2011. |
Gender Action Program (GAP)
With the disparities in gender and the disadvantage of women in almost all sectors of life, the GAP is designed to prioritize women issues so as to contribute to gender balance. Under this program we provide training and awareness on Sexual Gender Based Violence (SGBV), HIV/AIDS, Protection of women’s rights (to include rape and inheritance laws of Liberia) and Sexual exploitation and Abuse (SEA). In partnership with the Development Education Network – Liberia (DEN-L), CODRA is carrying on education, awareness and sensitization on these issues mentioned above in Bong and Lofa Counties. |
